Karen has been designing and making jewelry for over eighteen years. First, for herself, and then for friends who wanted custom pieces for special occasions. In 1999, Karen D's was launched as an internet jewelry store. The success of Karen D's was the starting point for "Let It Bead" which opened in 2002.

Lindsey started the store in 2002 alongside her mother, Karen. Lindsey has been beading for 14 years.
